Suicide prevention program at Ramechhap

On the occasion of World Suicide Prevention Day, TPO Nepal conducted an awareness program on 11 September, 2018 at Manthali, Ramechhap. This program was conducted under Mental Health Integration in Ramechhap district of Nepal (MHIRa) project supported by Americares. One hundred and twenty three students of Grade 11 and 12 of Shahid Smriti Multiple Campus, Manthali, participated in the program. District Coordinator of Ramechhap Pandab Prasai and psychosocial counselor Karna Raj Rimal facilitated the students on suicide and its prevention. Similarly, a jingle on suicide prevention was aired for 3 days from three FM stations of Ramechhap to observe World Suicide Prevention Day and create awareness throughout the district.
