COVID 19: Operationalizing Regional Exchange 4 Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (CORE4MHPSS)

Background

With COVID-19, there has been a rise in suicide, poverty, psychosocial problems, mental disorder, etc. In this context, training people on how to provide Basic Psychosocial Support (BPS) becomes crucial. Hence, The Asia Foundation and TPO Nepal with other partners have been working on developing and upgrading the e-learning platform with its BPS course.

Outcome: 

A short video-based course was designed entitled “Supporting People in Difficult times” that helps to apply basic psychosocial skills in community settings. The course is available in 5 different languages: English, Nepali, Sinhala, Tamil and Tetun. 

Target Population: General population, MHPSS service providers

Project Duration: February 2021 to February 2022
