Helping Survivors Heal (HSH)

Background

The HSH project aims to improve survivors’ access to culturally and contextually adapted evidence-based MHPSS practices by supporting the institutional capacity development of TPO Nepal. The development of the institutional capacity of TPO Nepal is anticipated to improve the quality and standards of MHPSS services delivered to the beneficiaries. The ultimate outcome is improved psychosocial well-being and daily functioning of victims of torture. It will also build connections among partners, and provide professional development and training opportunities to a wider network.

Objectives:

  • Improved capacity and quality of MHPSS services and organizational capacities
  • Strengthened and developed organizational MEAL system.
  • Leveraged opportunities, threat mitigation, and adequate fulfillment of the needs of beneficiaries for sustainability.
  • Increased technical competence, and better recognition of paraprofessionals to provide MHPSS services in communities.
