Orientation on IASC guidelines on mental health and psychosocial support in emergencies

To contextualize the IASC Guidelines on Mental Health and Psychosocial Support in Emergencies for Nepal, TPO Nepal organized a multi-agency process to use the IASC guidelines as a tool to raise awareness, foster coordination, and systematically integrate mental health and psychosocial considerations within the humanitarian cluster approach in Nepal. This project was funded by UNICEF from 1 November 2007 to 31 January 2010. In collaboration with Healthnet TPO and with financial support from UNICEF, TPO conducted two days training on use of IASC guidelines in five districts of the country: Sunsari, Dhanusha, Chitwan, Banke and Kailali with participants from 25 districts.
