Project Title: Improve preparedness of Sudurpaschim and Karnali Provinces on MHPSS services through strengthened health care delivery systems and services oriented on primary care approach

Project Objectives:The main objective of this project is to integrate MHPSS services (including Preparedness) as cross cutting intervention in the health system of the Province Government.

    • To initiate the process for establishing dedicated mental health care units at district hospitals
  • To develop and implement Standards Operating Procedure (SOP) on MHPSS preparedness
    • To capacitate health facilities to provide mental health care as per National Mental Health Program
  • To sensitize local community on MHPSS preparedness and response to a disaster

  • West Rukum (Musikot Municipality and Chaurjahari Municipality)

Sudurpaschim Province: 2 districts

  • Doti District ( Dipayal silgadhi Municipality and Shikhar Municipality)
  • Dadeldhura District (Amargadhi Municipality and Nawadurga Rural Municipality)
