TPO Nepal seeks competent, committed, and result-oriented candidates for the following positions:
Job Title : Monitoring Evaluation and Learning (MEAL) Officer
Job Station : Kathmandu
Job duration : 9 months with a possibility of extension

Major responsibilities
The MEAL Officer will be responsible for the following duties but not limited to:
Support design of organization-wide monitoring, evaluation, and learning systems
- Assist in developing the organizational Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning policy/framework/guidelines, aligning them with the organization’s goals, vision, and mission
- Conduct MEAL need identification and evaluation survey among TPO Nepal staff
- Assist in the development and implementation of the overall organizational-wide monitoring system
- Establish and oversee the learning and knowledge management system within the organization
- Support to Preparing annual monitoring and evaluation plan inconsistent with the MEAL Framework and develop/revising organization MEAL indicators.
Coordination and implementation of monitoring, evaluation, and learning systems
- Create project-specific logical frameworks/theories of change in accordance with the organizational monitoring system.
- Prepared form, format, tool and orient to the project team as per the project requirement.
- Work with program teams to implement the MEAL framework, guidelines, and other tools.
- Offer support to project teams during meetings and events, including agenda preparation, taking minutes, and other related tasks.
Support design and development of MEL database
- Support to develop an online database for tracking and documentation purposes.
- Develop and provide necessary forms, formats, tools, and manuals/modules in terms of data based as required by the organization/project.
Support reporting, impact stories, and documentation
- Collaborate closely with project leads to ensure that project documentation and reports meet high-quality standards and are delivered within specified timeframes, aligning with project work plans, objectives, and approaches.
- Conduct process documentation during the co-creation, translation/adaptation, pilot-testing, and finalization of proposed interventions and implementation of any intervention.
- Assist in preparing periodic reports, brochures, and policy briefs and coordinate with relevant stakeholders for wider dissemination via social media and publications
Providing training and guidance to program staff on MEL system implementation
- Provide training and orientation to staff members on monitoring, evaluation, and relevant indicators
- Provide orientation to the staff about monitoring and evaluation and indicator
Qualification, Skills, and Experience:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in psychology, public health, global health/global mental health, social work, or related fields. A Master’s degree is preferable.
- Minimum one year of experience in MEAL or process documentation, or having sound knowledge of monitoring and evaluation framework (e.g. logical framework, theory of change, etc.).
- Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and proficiency in written and spoken Nepali and English languages.
- Willingness to work in a multicultural environment.
- Willingness to stay and travel to remote areas.
- Having adequate knowledge of Child Protection and Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI).
- Attitude for learning new things and enjoying teamwork.
