Youth Advisory Group member, IDEA project

Note: Youth Advisory Group is formed of young people aged 10 to 24 years which includes but not limited to young people who are depressed, recovered/ non-depressed and have family/relatives/friends with depression. The group has been helping us to inform on the existing issues faced by young people with possible solutions, direction where the project is taking, interpretation of the results, sensitive and effective approaches to disseminate results to young people, their families and the wider public, and the potential future implementation of our findings in educational, public and health contexts.

म हिँडिरहेँ सिंहदरबारको वरपर
मर्किएको खुट्टा घिसार्दै
जहाँ ट्याक्सी कुरिरहेको थियो,
नेपाल यातायात कुदिरहेको थियो,
तर म हिँडिरहेँ,
बिस्तारै बिस्तारै…
किनकि मसँग पैसा छैन ।

केबल, केबल कागजमा नै
सीमित रहेको योग्यता बोकी
जागिरको खोजीमा भौतारिँदा
नफाटेका हैनन् यी जुत्ताहरु
आमालाई रातो सारी र
बाबालाई इस्टकोट किनिदिनेछु भनी
बिदा भएकी थिएँ घरबाट
राम्रो जागिरको आशामा
तर जहाँ गएँ पावर र घुसकै कुरा
हो, यो ठाउँमा इमान्दारिता छैन
र मसँग पैसा ।

आँखा वरपर आमाले साँधेको गुन्द्रुक
र बाबाले भुटेको मकै भट्मास ।
थाम्न सकेन यी आँखाले
अनि तप्प खसिदियो
जबर्जस्ती अड्याइरहेको आँसु ।

होटलमा नबनेका त होइन्न
विभिन्न परिकार,
तर, तर म
भोको पेट निरन्तर हिँडिरहेको छु
केवल बास्ना सुँघेर
किनकि मसँग पैसा छैन ।

भोकले भनाैँ या रोगले
म ढलेँ बीच सडकमा
जिउँदो लाश सरह
सबै आए, हेरे
केबल रमिता हेरे
अनि लागे आफ्नै बाटो
कसैले सोचेनन् कि
यो नानी मेरो बहिनी हो,
मेरो छोरी हो,
एक नेपाली चेली हो
किनकि यो ठाउँमा मानवता छैन
र मसँग पैसा छैन ।
