Training on effective communication
A one-day training on “Effective communication skills” was conducted at National Museum, Chhauni on 1st May, 2018. The training was organized by National Museum and facilitated by Ms. Ambika Balami, Sr. Psychosocial Trainer from TPO Nepal. Thirty eight staffs from the museum attended the training. The objective of this training was to enhance the communication skills of museum staff and their relationship with the visitors.
The training focused on communication and was conducted through theme-related games (peer work, group work, light and lively, pattern ball etc.). This allowed the participants to understand better as the age range of participants varied. The participants enjoyed the training because it was the first time in their career that they had taken such type of training. They got the platform to share their feelings/opinions and vent their stress and expected for future trainings in order to perform better at their job.
