Training on basic psychosocial skills to protection workers
With total 22 participants from different NGO’s and government office 3 days Training on Basic Psychosocial Skills to protection workers was conducted at Hetauda, Makwanpur. The training was inaugurated by Chief, Women Development Officer of Makwanpur district.
The training was conducted under the financial assistance of UNICEF 2nd August, 2015 to 4th August, 2015. The objective of the training is to provide basic concept of IASC guildine and psychosocial support in Emergency setting. The content of the training was Introduction to IASC guildeline, basic psychosocial concept, basic communication skills, stress and coping with self care. This training was more focus on integrating psychosocial with the protection work.
The training was successful in making participants understand that psychosocial support is not stand alone support and it should be integrated for the effective response and resiliency is important in every person to cope the situation which can be differ as per the situation and socialization.
