Theory of Change (TOC) Workshop with adolescents
A half-day Theory of Change (TOC) workshop with adolescents was conducted on 19 December 2018 under the Identifying Depression Early in Adolescence (IDEA) project. The workshop focused on exploring the feasibility and acceptability of conducting high quality and culturally appropriate mental health research with adolescents in Nepal. Total 11 adolescents from different backgrounds, such as software engineering and psychology, participated in the workshop. Dr. Kamal Gautam gave a brief background presentation before working on the TOC pathway.
The workshop was interactive and all of the participants gave their views in developing the TOC pathway, towards the impact statement: ‘Capacity is established and utilized to conduct feasible, acceptable, and ethical biological, psychological, and contextual research for the detection and prevention of adolescent depression in Nepal’
This workshop will be followed by another TOC workshop with the parents and teachers of adolescents.
