COVID 19: Operationalizing Regional Exchange 4 Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (CORE4MHPSS)
Background
With COVID-19, there has been a rise in suicide, poverty, psychosocial problems, mental disorder, etc. In this context, training people on how to provide Basic Psychosocial Support (BPS) becomes crucial. Hence, The Asia Foundation and TPO Nepal with other partners have been working on developing and upgrading the e-learning platform with its BPS course.
Objective
The goal of this project is to build a platform for mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) exchanges with a pilot initiative across Nepal, Timor-Leste and Sri Lanka using technology and innovative approaches as the conduit for discussion and exchange. The content for basic psychosocial support for Covid-19 responders will be based on the Inter Agency Standing Committee (IASC) Basic Psychosocial Skills: A guide for Covid-19 Responders.
Major activity: Develop five different videos related to MHPSS to be included in BPS training online module, translate those videos into 4 different language and disseminate them widely
